Hiking Mount Epomeo is a right of passage for any tourist visiting the island of Ischia. The idea of a long and difficult walk up an inactive volcano on a thermal island in the middle of summer; is only tempered by the knowledge that once you are on top of the mountain, you are also afforded the luxury of a table overlooking the beautiful island at a family run restaurant that is well prepared for hot and thirsty travellers. The fresh watermelon and orange juice, the array of hand-cooked pasta dishes, and the friendly faces that serve you at the summit will only add to the experience you’ve just had, of walking up the mountain, through wooded areas, across vineyard terraces and past ancient churches carved out of the rock.
Our Epomeo crossbody is the ‘little sister’ to our Grande handbag of the same name. It has a unique design with a buckled hand strap, removable top handle and removable crossbody – reminiscent somewhat of a volcano-like shape. The interiors boast 2 open pockets and one zippered compartment for keeping hiking essentials organised: or for the well-deserved shopping trip at the end of your Italian workout.
